ROCKVILLE, Md. and ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 22—Kodak’s Document Imaging business and Kaulkin Information Systems (KIS), a leader in Software as a Service (SaaS) technologies, today announce an agreement that will provide businesses with an comprehensive solution for automating data management. Marketed jointly, KODAK Scanners and Imaging Systems will be combined with the KISTrack document management, workflow, compliance and risk mitigationSaaS technology platform.
As a member of Kodak’s Authorized Independent Software Vendor program, KIS will offer fully integrated KIS Kodak enterprise data management systems throughout its primary markets. These sectors include, but are not limited to:
- Financial Services (securities, banking/insurance, deal flow communities)
- Healthcare/Medical
- Pharmaceutical
- Government/Military/Intelligence
- Education
- Property Management
- Franchising
KIS is one of the first providers of SaaS technology and solutions to address specific international, federal, state, and industry imposed Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) standards.
“Our understanding and integration of compliance, regulatory, and risk management factors for enterprise IT strategies truly set KIS technologies and solutions apart in our market sectors,” said Michael P. Binko, President and CEO of Kaulkin Information Systems. “This relationship with Kodak affirms our leadership position and affords our customers more direct access to the broad capabilities and expertise of another industry leader.”
Beyond simple archiving and monitoring of data, users and business rules, the KISTrack platform integrates several application “modules” that typically have only been available individually from SaaS vendors. These modules include:
- TrackFile – document imaging and enterprise data management (archive/search/retrieve)
- TrackFlow – workflow/BPM, compliance, e-discovery, GRC best practices
- TrackMail – electronic messaging surveillance, archiving and violation resolution
- Track Cash – electronic check/transaction processing combined with TrackFile
- TrackBatch – “lingua franca” – proprietary methodologies and technologies for data extraction and legacy system integration
Joint KIS Kodak technologies incorporate support for straight through processing (STP) initiatives and minimize NIGO (Not in Good Order) challenges of paper based records management systems. Additionally, sophisticated audit trails and reporting/analytics capabilities provide critical knowledge to decision makers.
“SaaS based solutions are becoming a go-to platform for growth minded enterprises. The ability to start small and scale is an attractive model and a key reason why companies like KIS are poised to be very successful in many industry sectors,” said Kevin Diday, Business Development Manager, ISV-Eastern Region, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “Within the initial weeks of the KIS Kodak relationship we had already jointly closed on a deployment in the financial services sector with a growing broker-dealer office.”
