Kodak Makes IGAEA Graphic Communications Week Poster
Print

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 19—First distributed only to visitors at Graph Expo 2007 in Chicago, a new poster that uses the wisdom of America’s “Father of Print” to promote 2008 Graphic Communications Week is now available at www.PrintAmbassador.com.

Printed by Kodak on the new KODAK NEXPRESS S3000 Digital Production Color Press in association with the International Graphic Arts Education Association (IGAEA), the 12″ x 18″ poster can now be ordered free, online at www.PrintAmbassador.com.

“We’re taking this important message from Chicago to the world via PrintAmbassador.com,” said Jeff Hayzlett, Chief Marketing Officer, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “The posters were a big success at Graph Expo, and now we want to see them in graphic communications shops everywhere. The IGAEA should be supported in this effort to inspire young people to choose careers in printing and the graphic arts.”

The color poster features a famous quote from Benjamin Franklin, “Genius without education is like silver in a mine,” on parchment next to a pair of wire rimmed glasses, an inkwell and a feather quill. The poster was designed by Vanessa Slavich, a senior at California Polytechnic State University, as part of an IGAEA contest promoting 2008 Graphic Communications Week, which occurs Jan. 13-19, the week of Franklin’s birthday.

The NEXPRESS S3000 Digital Production Color Press, the new high end production press in the NEXPRESS Digital Color Platform, was honored with a 2007 Must See ‘em Award at Graph Expo. The S3000 press combines speed, the unique operator replaceable component service model, and an extensive online operator support system to provide outstanding cut sheet productivity to print providers.
