High quality, short run photo applications highlighted by soft cover book
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Dec. 1—Some of the greatest rock and roll performers of all time are captured in a collection by renowned photographer Neal Preston that is currently on exhibit in Hollywood, Calif.
Kodak is supporting the exhibit by printing a commemorative soft cover book of the collection using a KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press. The book is doubling both as a catalog to spur print sales and as part of an invitation package sent to VIP guests for a private opening. All profits from the exhibition’s opening night print sales will benefit a new recovery program for wounded U.S. military personnel.
Preston’s exhibit at the newly opened Morrison Hotel Gallery kicked off on Nov. 9 with an invitation only VIP fundraiser to benefit the Stevie Nicks Soldier’s Angel Foundation. Nicks, a longtime friend of Preston’s, recently created the foundation to aid the healing process of wounded U.S. servicemen and women returning from overseas duty through the gift of music. Donations are used to purchase iPods, which are loaded with music and personally given to the wounded recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.

Preston worked with Kodak on the design and production of the catalog for the show, which features photographs of such varied music industry giants as Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, Dr. Dre, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Marley, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Who and Pearl Jam.
The 116 page book was printed using a NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press with a KODAK NEXGLOSSER glossing unit and fifth imaging unit.
