Violet photopolymer plate augments KODAK product portfolio; on display at Graph Expo
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 3—North American graphic communications providers seeking a commercial violet photopolymer plate can turn to Kodak for a solution. Now available in the United States and Canada, the KODAK VIOLET PRINT digital plate combines high productivity and cost effective platemaking with Kodak experience to deliver a state-of-the-art violet photopolymer plate.
Kodak will show the VIOLET PRINT digital plate in Chicago at Graph Expo in booth 400.

The launch of the KODAK VIOLET PRINT digital plate follows the successful introduction of Kodak’s VIOLETNEWS plate for the newspaper market. Compatible with all market leading violet platesetters with 30 mW laser power or greater, or for use with the KODAK Compact Violet plate processor, the VIOLET PRINT digital plate offers fast imaging speed, and wide exposure and development latitude to deliver exceptional productivity under a variety of usage conditions and print applications. Excellent graining and anodizing properties make the plate highly tolerant to a wide variety of press conditions.
The VIOLET PRINT digital plate delivers crisp, clean images with screen rulings of up to 200 lpi on run lengths of 200,000-plus impressions, depending on press conditions. In addition, the VIOLET PRINT digital plate can be baked for increased durability.
