New group to focus on expansion of digital color server business
ROCHESTER, N.Y., September 13 – Kodak announced today the creation of the CREO Print On-Demand Solutions group (CREO POD Solutions), a new, independently managed unit within Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group (GCG) that will expand the supply of digital color servers for digital presses to a variety of partners.
The CREO Print On-Demand Solutions group develops specialized workflow products to manage the flow of digital information to high-speed, print-on-demand digital printers. The high-performance CREO digital color servers drive a range of high-end printers and presses. Other advanced hardware and software solutions, including on-demand applications, enable the creation of personalized direct mail, targeted catalogs and other custom-printed products for powerful one-to-one marketing.
With the mandate to capitalize on the fast-growing color server market, the CREO Print On-Demand Solutions group has been structured as a stand alone unit to better serve the particular needs of multiple OEM customers. The CREO Print On-Demand Solutions group currently supplies digital workflow products to IKON Office Solutions, Konica Minolta and Xerox Corporation, and is now establishing collaboration with HP.
The CREO Print On-Demand Solutions group will carry the Creo name as a legacy of its history with Creo Inc., recently acquired by Kodak. Information about CREO POD Solutions is available at the CREO Print On-Demand Solutions group’s new web site at www.creopod.com.
